It's Official...Community Footy is Back!

We mentioned in our last blog post that we weren't 100% sure what the government were saying regarding outdoor sports. They never specifically mentioned grassroots soccer. But we followed up and found out that the FA have confirmed the return from the 25th July onwards. We investigated some venues and they have been quick to get their return to footy guidelines up and visible to all.

Thankfully, the game of the football, hasn't had to have any changes applied for safety reasons, it's the venues and admin side of things. Changing rooms will be closed, contact details will be required and testing will occur. The organisations seem to be well organised, i'd expect nothing less. I'm sure more details will come out. We're already hearing plans for fans safe return to stadia potentially in October, with the EPL earmarked to start the 20/21 season on Sept 12th.

But for now, let's all rejoice for the return!

We've achieved a lot. Created our blog, our artistic Instagram account, upped our membership numbers and delivered our first kit ever, fresh with sponsorships. We have 2 x games lined up already and are planning to enter a league later in the year, and hopefully a mixed league too, to continue one of our key goals of increasing exposure of the Women's game.
