The Tuesday Experiment

Fresh from our Tournament thrashing, it was back to the bread and butter of the weekly game. We had ALWAYS played Thursdays, and we thought once lockdown had ended after Covid was finally beaten, that life would of returned to normal.

It did...but sadly that brought new problems. Thursdays had always been a social day. Post-Covid, and the new remote working dynamic, Thursdays had really become the new Friday. Drinks were being arranged. In our workplace, we had Thirsty Thursdays organised and in general, people were saying they had more social stuff on so couldn't make all our games.

We had a decision to make. Personally, I didn't feel our weekly attendance was suffering, in my opinion, this was just a ready made excuse for the lazy players to grasp with both hands. Alas, we live in a democracy, and I was willing to give the Tuesday Experiment a go. We had found a 6pm game at Rocks Lane - Chiswick, and there were a couple of other games like Westminster Academy and Westway so that we could mix things up. Tuesdays weren't an awkward day either, a lot of people were remote working on Mondays and Fridays, so was difficult for them to commute in just for a game.

So we switched it up..........at the very least, we were discovering a new venue in Rocks Lane@Chiswick, so keep an eye on the Venue review which will be upcoming!
